the idea was to scope out the area of mt. chimney that had recently been affected by some less than nice wild pokémon. they'd been moved, but francie was sent in as a ranger to make sure that the surrounding mountain side didn't have any damage to the environment that needed fixing.

most of the time the surrounding pokémon would fix or adapt and the rangers were sent out to ensure that this was still the case. that they wouldn't need to lend a helping hand.

so there francie was, in her ranger gear, with her badge and pin, waiting for her 'help' to arrive so that she could get to hiking and get started on investigating the area and ensuring that it was in tip-top shape-- for the most part.

Mt Chimney, the great volcano where a Groudon has supposedly rampaged. Now home to a few of the more hostile and territorial pokemon, the local wildlife faces a threat to their everyday lives. He's heard many things from the ranks ever since he transferred here from Alola, and to put things simply, he's glad that he doesn't have to do this alone.

"hello emma!" francie greets without a second thought, smiling and ignoring the fact that she got there early. she just liked mountains and the more she got to explore them the better. namely while working-- like getting paid to do what you love or whatever.

She's a cheerful one, lovely and welcoming in her own way. And in every case, Francie's probably much better than those grumpy clowns back at the mountain base station... but he'll keep that thought to himself.

Taking a step towards the left, Emmett gently brushes away the sunlight and peers off into the distance. Na'au, on the other hand, scurries right after him with a 'pip', always making sure to place her trainer between her and the other ranger.

"Right then, we should start... on the far end probably? Make a loop back and call it a day...." That would probably be the most efficient path, but he has a feeling that his partner isn't the kind to simply walk away from nature. So he pats his satchel, giving her a cheeky grin as he starts walking ahead. "Maybe if we have time, we can head off-trail to sneak in a few photo sesh?"
